As with many databases dealing with research information, there may often seem to be a bias towards STEM subjects in the data, with less information for the arts and humanities. This is because of the relative volume of research activity in these areas, and may also be due to the availability of data across different subjects. Dimensions does not prioritise any research area over any other, and we make an effort to include data which may not be as readily available. As part of this we have already begun to place more emphasis on including books, as these are an important way of publishing results in social sciences. We are always interested to hear suggestions of sources that we should include.
How does the coverage in Dimensions vary between topic areas?
