Associated data is provided to Dimensions by figshare - a platform where users can make all of their research outputs available in a citable, shareable and discoverable manner, and publishers may deposit files connected to publications from their journals. Therefore, only publications which have associated data stored in figshare will then be visible on the relevant publication page in Dimensions.
Why do some publications have “associated data” and some not?
